Sobat Strada tepat pada hari ini tanggal 16 September seluruh dunia memperingati “Hari Ozon”. Hayo sobat Strada apa itu ozon? Ozon adalah gas yang secara alami terdapat di atmosfer atau singkatnya lapisan bumi. Fungsi lapisan ozon adalah untuk melindungi bumi dari radiasi sinar ultraviolet yang dipancarkan matahari.
Sobat Strada tahukah kalian bahwa lapisan ozon kita semakin menipis? Apa akibatnya bagi bumi dan mahkluk hidup jika lapisan ozon semakin menipis? Penipisan lapisan ozon akan meningkatkan radiasi sinar ultraviolet sampai ke bumi. Hal ini bisa berdampak buruk bagi penghuni bumi. Bisa menimbulkan kanker kulit pada manusia, terjadi kebakaran hutan, benyak hewan yang mati karena kekurangan makanan dan minuman, dll. Sedangkan akibatnya bagi bumi yaitu pemanasan global yang memicu mencairnya es di kutub, meningkatnya permukaan air laut, tidak menentunya cuaca dan iklim, dan meningkatnya bencana alam.
Sobat Strada apa yang menyebabkan lapisan ozon menipis? Lapisan ozon menipis karena ulah manusia sendiri seperti sering melakukan pembakaran sampah, banyaknya penggunaan pabrik dan kendaraan, penebangan pohon secara besar-besaran, serta penggunaan kloroflorokarbon (CFC) dan hidroklorofluorokarbon (HCFC)
